Ford India is launching new generations of Eco Sport, Freestyle, Figo and Aspire. But the catch with Eco Sport is, it will lose its spare wheel which is tailgate-mounted. Replacing the wheel the car will get a number plate slot.

Ford India has now discarded the base trims of their vehicles. Rather than 4 trims, the cars are now available only in two to three trims. Last month, the prices of the EcoSport were slashed and the Titanium trim was offered with a sunroof along with a handful of new features. You can read more about it here. Recently, images of a new SE trim of the model arriving at the dealerships have surfaced on the internet.

The very noticeable change is the removal of the tailgate mounted spare wheel as the number plate slot moves up to the center. The remaining design of the Eco-sport remains unchanged.
