Third Generation VW Tiguan all set for global debut

The upcoming Tiguan has been spotted recently, VW is all set to globally debut the new Tiguan

This will be the third generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan and most probably the car in the image is the final production design. The launch of this SUV is expected to be unveiled in the coming months and will go sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2024.

As per the reports it will be longer than the current generation. The length of the third gen Tiguan will be 4551mm and 5mm in heigher in height at 1640mm. Wheelbase will be 2681mm which is the same as the current gen. Volkswagen has stated that the new tiguan will have a additional 33 litres of bootspace and will having more headroom and legroom.

The higher variants will be equipped with ventilated and massaging seats. With 15'' Infotainment, it will also get an updated Head up Display.

Volkswagen might introduce different powertrain options depending upon the market. There will be 2.0 Litre TSI and Diesel engines. Along with there will be a 1.5 Litre mild hybrid TSi petrol engine. Third generation Tiguan will be offered in front wheel drive option as well as the All Wheel Drive option which is the same as the current gen. There will also be two plug-in hybrid powertrains expected to produce 201hp and 268hp respectively, and will come with a large 18.5kWh battery with a claimed all-electric range of 100km

For India launch, there is no official confirmation has been made but as per the reports after the unveil and launch in European market. The third generation Tiguan will make its way in India through CBU routes.
