Hyundai India is planning to give a minor update to the Aura compact sedan in coming weeks. Ahead of its official arrival, the feature details of the 2021 model have been leaked on the web. As per the leaked document, the 2021 Hyundai Aura will receive a factory fitted rear spoiler. Though, it will be reserved for the S, SX and SX (O) variants. While the Arkamys premium audio system will be removed from the SX and SX (O) variants, the E variant will get 13-inch spare wheel instead of the 14-inch unit.
While the S variant will be offered with steel style wheels, the AMT models will get 3M graphics in a Gun metal colour. The top-end SX (O) trim will continue to offer some exclusive features including cruise control (1.2L petrol only) and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.
The 2021 Hyundai Aura will continue to come with the two petrol and one diesel engine options along with a CNG kit. The 83bhp, 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol motor, which is borrowed from the Grand i10 Nios, comes with 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The gasoline unit is also available with the standard-fit CNG kit with manual gearbox. In this setup, the petrol engine delivers 69bhp and 95Nm of torque.
The compact sedan can also be had with a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol mill that’s good for 100bhp and 172Nm of torque. Paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it promises a fuel economy of 20.5kmpl. The Aura diesel will feature the same BS6-copliant 1.2L, 3-cylinder motor pushing out a peak power of 74bhp against 190Nm of torque. The sedan’s mileage figures stand at 20.5kmpl for 1.2L petrol MT, 20.1kmpl for 1.2L petrol AMT, 25.35kmpl for diesel MT, 25.4kmpl for diesel AMT and 28.4km/kg for CNG model.
