India is one of the world's fastest-growing markets for electric two-wheelers (E2Ws). Almost all major OEMs now offer an electric two-wheeler in their portfolio, and now manufacturers working in other fields also want to take advantage of this attractive market growth.

Acer, the Taiwan-based giant multinational technology company, launched its first electric scooter in India. The scooter is priced at Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom). This marks the brand’s entry into the electric vehicle space in India. The electric scooter was launched in collaboration with India’s leading electric mobility platform, eBikeGo. The company is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the scooter in India.

The Acer brand is about to open pre-booking for the MUVI 125. The company is also inviting interested parties for dealership opportunities. Pre-bookings and dealership inquiries are open on the company’s official website.

At the price announcement, Dr. Irfan Khan, CEO, Think eBikeGo Private Limited (Acer's official licensee), said, "The Acer MUVI 125 4G represents our vision for a greener future. We believe it is set to become the preferred choice for urban commuters. The MUVI 125 4G is the first EV model to be launched under the Acer brand in India. In the near future, they plan to introduce multiple 2- and 3-wheeler EVs, such as e-bicycles, e-bikes, e-trikes, etc." He also said that the dealership network across India's major cities is underway.

Features and Specifications

It's been around for a while now, but it wasn't until September this year that we saw it for the first time at an EV India Expo. It's got two removable batteries that can be swapped out, so you don't have to worry about charging it up. The batteries are 48 volts and 35.2 Ah and have a range of up to 80 km on a single charge, and they can go up to 75 kmph. The company claims that the scooter can be fully charged in about 4 hours and that riders can even choose to use only one battery. The scooter is said to be a futuristic e-mobility solution for urban commuters. The light-weight scooter has a sturdy chassis that rides on 16-inch wheels for a smooth ride. The chassis is also equipped with a new rear shock absorber system, which is accompanied by a new front hydraulic fork for added agility and stability.

The MUVI 125 will be offered in white, black, and grey colour options. The features of this scooter are highly customizable and data-driven. You can customise the vehicle using your Android or iOS smartphone. The vehicle comes with a 4-in-1 Bluetooth-enabled LCD screen and comes in three configurations.
