Bike India’s Top 10 Selling Bikes – Splendor No. 1, Pulsar 4th, Classic 350 6th

February 2021 was a fruitful month for the Indian automobile industry, especially for the two-wheeler makers. Most of the bike and scooter manufacturers registered positive sales growth. India’s top two-wheeler maker, Hero MotoCorp managed to sell 5,05,467 units against 4,98,242 units of the same month last year.

While Honda 2Wheelers sold 4,42,696 units, TVS Motor Company and Bajaj Auto recorded total sales of 2,84581 units and 1,48,876 units respectively. Royal Enfield sold 65,114 motorcycles in the domestic market opposed to 61,118 units of February 2020.

Here’s the list of the top 10 selling motorcycles of February 2021.

 

 

 

 

Hero Splendor retained the top spot with total sales of 2,47,422 units compared to 2,15,196 units of the same month previous year, registering 15% growth. The Splendor range includes three models – Splendor Plus, Super Splendor and Splendor iSmart – priced at Rs 59,600, Rs 67,300 and Rs 67,100 respectively. The bike comes with a new 9.1bhp, 113.2cc, single-cylinder fuel injected engine.

 

 

The Hero HF Deluxe stood at number 2nd with total sales of 1,26,309 units. Compared to February 2020, however, the bike witnessed a sales decline of 28%. The commuter uses a 7.94bhp, 100cc, single-cylinder fuel injected motor. Honda CB Shine is shinning on number 3rd with sales of 1,15,970 units. The Bajaj Pulsar and Platina are ranked at 4 and 5 with total sales of 81,454 units and 46,264 units respectively.  

 

 

Royal Enfield sold 36,025 units of the Classic 350 in February 2021, witnessed a YoY decline of 14%. The model is ready to enter into its new generation in the coming months. TVS’ Apache grabbed the 8th spot with sales of 31,735 units against 32,033 units of the same month last year. The Hero Glamour and Honda Unicorn recorded sales of 27,375 units and 22,281 units respectively. While the former saw a YoY decline of 23%, the latter registered 90% sales growth.
