Bookings Open For Strom R3 Mini Electric Car

In the year 2018, the Strom Motors had unveilled the R3 entry level electric car and now in 2021 the bookings have begun with a mere token amount of Rs. 10,000/- only. The car is said to be priced under 5Lakhs. The two door electric car, with three wheels have created its own identity with its out of the box design. The car is said to be developed for metro area's. Strom R3 features LED lights, rear spoiler, dual tone colors and a sunroof.

Dimensionally, the small electric car is 2,907mm in length, 1,405mm in width and 1,572mm in height, and has a ground clearance of 185mm. The EV has a kerb weight of 550kg. It rides on 13-inch steel wheels covered with 155/80 section tyres. The car is expected to be offered with a 2 seater configuration, two captain seats or a single bench seat for 3. EV comes up with 12 way adjustable driver's seat, 4.3inch digital instrumental cluster, climate control, keyless entry with 7 inch infotainment system with IoT- enabled continuous monitoring systen and 4G connectivity, voice control, gestures, 20GB onboard storage and turn by turn voice controlled navigation. The car is designed to offer 400 litres of boot space and comes with front disk brakes and rear with drum along with all these, the company provides a warranty of 3 years / 1 lakh kilometres. It is powered by an electric motor producing 20bhp and 90Nm of torque, and a lithium-ion battery.  It has regenerative braking and offers 3 driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sports. It is claimed to achieve a top speed of up to 80kmph. The entry-level car is claimed to offer a range of up to 200 km on a single charge. The battery takes 3 hours to fully charge.
