The Indian brand known for the safety and trust, creates history again with its latest premium vehicle, Tata Altroz. Tata Motors sent a press release to us which stated, The Altroz has registered its name in the India Book of Records for covering 1603Km in just 24 hours. With this, the Tata Altroz is the only car which has covered such a long distance in just one day. This run was initiated by Mr. Devjeet Saha, a Pune based automotive enthusiast. He started this run from Satara to Bengaluru and back to Pune in his Tata Altroz Between, 15th and 16th December 2020.
Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, congratulated Mr. Devjeet Saha on the successful completion of this ride. He also said, Tata Motor's Altroz has created new benchmarks in its segment through its appealing design, safety and performance.
The Altroz recently completed its 1st anniversary which was celebrated with the launch of the Altroz iTurbo in January 2020. This feat achieved by Devjeet Saha further adds to the credibility of the Altroz. Loaded with new tech and the 1.2L turbocharged BS6 petrol engine, the Altroz i-Turbo is launched in a new Harbour Blue colour, With power of 110 PS @ 5500 rpm, Altroz i-Turbo provides a torque of 140 Nm @1500- 5500 rpm that ensures an enjoyable drive experience. Adding to that, the Sport/City Multi Drive Modes provide the Altroz a perfect combination of thrill and city driving. Altroz in its 2021 avatar will also sport the new Black and light Grey interiors accentuated with perforated leatherette seats to enhance its premium quotient.
Tata Altroz was launched in India in January 2020 -- at the time, the company offered the premium hatchback two engine options: One 85 bhp petrol and one 89 bhp diesel. Earlier this year, the automaker expanded the Altroz line-up with the addition of the Tata Altroz iTurbo. This model comes powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that belts out a maximum power output of 108 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 140 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm to 5,500 rpm.
