Maruti Suzuki has announced to increase prices of its cars from April 2021. India’s largest car manufacturer stated that the cost of producing a car in the country has been impacted adversely due to an increase in input costs. This is the second price increase by the Maruti Suzuki India Limited in 2021.
Maruti Suzuki said that the price rise will vary as per the variants of different models. The company is currently selling 14 cars in the country. The entry-level Alto hatch is available at a starting price of Rs 2.99 lakh, while the MSIL XL6 6-seater premium PV is tagged at Rs 9.84 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki has recently announced discounts and benefits on cars for March month. The ARENA dealerships are giving 20,000 cash benefit and an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 on the Celerio and the S-Presso. The Eeco, Swift and the Vitara Brezza are available with total benefits of up to Rs 30,000. The entry-level Maruti Alto 800 is available with benefits worth Rs 15,000,000, while the WagonR and Dzire are offered with benefits of 23,000 and 28,000 respectively.
The Maruti Suzuki NEXA dealerships are giving 67,000 discounts on S-Cross, while the Ignis is available with benefits worth Rs 39,000. The Baleno is available with discounts worth Rs 29,000. The Ciaz is available with benefits worth up to Rs 40,000.
Maruti Suzuki is currently working on the next generation Celerio hatchback and the Vitara Brezza before the end of this year. The company is also working on the next generation Swift and the Baleno. MSIL is also working on a mid-sized SUV, which will be co-develop by Suzuki and Toyota.
