TVS has added new accessories and visual tweaks to its Ronin to increase its appeal in the ongoing festive season.
Ronin Special Edition
TVS Motor Company yesterday launched a special edition of its retro-style roadster, giving it a more eye-catching Nimbus Grey color scheme with red strips and new graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. The special edition also gets black treatment for the headlight bezel and the lower part of the bike.
Ronin Special Edition also gets additional factory-fitted accessories like a dark visor, an EFI cover, and a USB charging socket. Nimbus Grey is the only paint scheme reserved for the special addition.
The special edition does not get any mechanical changes and comes with a 225.9-cc single-cylinder engine that is equipped with FI technology. It makes 20.4 PS of power at 7750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of max torque at 3750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with an assist-slipper clutch.
Standard Features
The bike has features like Bluetooth-connected technology, navigation, voice-based intensity adjustment, turn signal alert, phone battery alert, low fuel warning, range indicator, adjustable lever, and many more. It gets full LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console, which is placed asymmetrically on the left side. Ronin also gets a set of 41-mm USD forks at the front for a sporty ride and attractive aesthetics. It is also equipped with dual-channel ABS, which gets rainy, and urban modes.
Pricing
TVS has priced the special edition of the Ronin at a premium of about Rs 4,000 over the standard top model, the Ronin TD. The ex-showroom (Delhi) price for the Ronin special edition is marked at Rs. 1,72,700, while the standard range starts at Rs. 1,49,200 (Ronin SS).
Ronin currently doesn't have a clear rival, but the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Honda Honda CB350, and Yamaha FZ-X may be called its competitors to some extent.
