Tata Harrier Facelift
Exterior
Tata has upped the game in the compact SUV segment with the recently launched Nexon facelift, and now the Harrier and Safari facelifts make the Tata range of SUVs refreshed and updated.
The Harrier facelift features a complete new front facia with a full-width connected LED bar that also gets various welcome and exit patterns. The headlamp unit is new with a full LED setup, while the fog lamps are also new. The headlamp housing now appears more angular compared to the earlier curvy shape. The lowest part of the light unit carries a functional air passage. The new grille gets some striking metal-like highlights, with a diluting effect towards the center. The Tata logo sits right in the center. The lower part of the bumper appears bulky with a large air dam. The skid plates appear glossy and seem to be prone to scratches.
The side profile of the car is the least changed, and the only major makeover comes in the form of the alloy wheel design. Now the Harrier gets three different sizes for the alloy wheels, depending on the variant you choose. The base size is 17 inches, while the mid- and top variants will get 18-inch wheels. However, a set of 19 inchers is reserved for the Dark editions of the car in Adventure +, Fearless, and Fearless + variants. Harrier is written in bold capital letters on the front doors.
At the rear too, the design language is carried with an end-to-end LED bar, and the bumpers are also new and now carry more crispy and sleek rear lights. The rear bumper carries vertical elements at the edges.

Engine and Gearbox
Everyone was anticipating that with the facelift, Tata would bring petrol engines to the Harrier and Safari, but as of now, there is no petrol option on offer. The original Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre engine is carried forward. It produces 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic range starts with the Adventure + model.
ARAI Claimed Mileage
The redesigned Harrier is reported to have a fuel efficiency rating of 14.60 kmpl for the automatic and 16.80 kmpl for the manual. The manual sees a slight 0.45kpl improvement over its previous values of 16.35kpl, while the automatic's stay the same.
