Tata Nexon facelift Powertrain details

The TATA Nexon facelift will get a 1.2 Litre Turbo petrol engine with new gearbox options

 

 

Tata Motors is all set to launch the new Nexon facelift super soon and here we have some information on the powertrains and gearboxes

 

As per the reports, the tata nexon will get a existing 1.2 Litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.5 litre diesel engine. As for the gearboxes, it will continue to receive a 6 speed manual and 6 speed AMT gearbox. However, the petrol engine will get a option of 5 speed manual and 7 speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) Gearbox. So, The nexon will be available with 4 gearbox options.

 

 

As per the reports, the 5 speed manual gearbox will be available in the entry level variants of petrol engine. Whereas the 7 speed DCT gearbox will be available only in the top spec variants, the mid variants will get the 6 speed manual gearbox option. The diesel engine will come either with a 6 speed manual or 6 speed AMT gearbox.

The rivals in the same price segments like Brezza, Venue, Sonet, Magnite provides better transmissions like the DCT, Torque Converter and CVTs.

 

The interior of the TATA Nexon facelift will be completely redesigned as per the reports, redesigned dashboard, bigger touchscreen, redesigned multi information display, redesigned new 2 spoke steering wheel etc. On the exterior there are certain changes that have been made. As per the sources Sheet metal has also been changed. New split headlamp setup and full width LED tailight at the rear.

 

For the launch dates, the TATA nexon facelift is expected to be launched by mid-september. The prices expectations is likely to be slightly above the current nexon which is priced at Rs 8 Lakh to Rs 14.60 lakhs (Ex-Showroom)
