Surprising everybody, the Tata Twins have scored five stars in the Global NCAP Program. Both Harrier and Safari have scored 33.05 out of 34.00 for adult protection and 45.00 out of 49.00 for child protection. These scores are unprecedented in the updated test protocol of the Global NCAP.
Both cars were declared stable in the footwell area. The bodyshell was rated as stable, and it is capable of withstanding further loadings.
Even though both the Safari and the Harrier use the same vehicle, the Safari has a maximum seating capacity of seven passengers, while the Harrier has a maximum seating capacity of five. Six airbags and ESC are included as standard equipment on both versions.
In GNCAP tests, the Tata Safari and Tata Harrier both received the maximum star rating for both adult and child occupants, demonstrating a solid structure and restraint system design that provided enough protection.In the dynamic tests, both models provided complete kid-occupant safety. Both are particularly adaptable for carrying young passengers because they are equipped with ISOFIX anchorages and a passenger airbag deactivation switch. The Safari and Harrier both come standard with pedestrian protection that complies with GTR9 and UN127 regulations.
Additionally, the vehicles have optional ADAS systems and seatbelt reminders in addition to meeting Global NCAP's ESC standards.
