Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced that it will cover the Covid-19 vaccination cost of all its employees and their family members as well as the contract employees. The automobile manufacturer will reimburse expenses incurred for both the doses of the Covid-19 vaccine of approximately 25,000 individuals.
According to TKM, an employee can choose to reimburse the costs of the Covid-19 vaccinations or get them free of charge at the company-identified healthcare facility.
"Our employees are our most valued asset and we place utmost importance to improve the quality of life of our workforce and their families. In addition to providing a conducive working environment, we continually evaluate and introduce unique welfare measures over and above the statutory requirements," TKM Human Resources and Services Group Vice President Shankara G said.
"Especially during the pandemic, we ensured uninterrupted support by providing facilities ranging from critical health programmes and priority doctor-on-call, mental and physical awareness to manage their health needs from home thereby reducing the load on local hospitals. With this gesture, we aim to safeguard the health and safety of all our employees, their family members and the community at large," he added.
TKM will increase the prices of its vehicles from April 1, 2021. The automobile manufacturer's product portfolio currently includes the Toyota Glanza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Fortuner Legender, Toyota Camry and Toyota
