Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revealed the their new Ertiga based MPV - Rumion
Japanese giant automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced a new MPV in their portfolio in India which is a Maruti Ertiga based MPV, Rumion. However, the prices are not announced now but it is scheduled to be announced in the coming months.
Japanese Manufacturer Toyota also sells vehicles like the Toyota Glanza (Premium Hatchback), Urban Cruiser Hyryder (Mid-Size SUV), Innova Crysta (MPV), Innova Hycross (Premium MPV), Fortuner (Full Size SUV), Hilux (Pickup Truck), Camry (Luxury Sedan) and other Luxury MPVs like the Toyota Velfire.
Toyota Rumion is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga which is the best selling MPV in India currently. This Toyota Rumion is almost the same as the one which is sold in South Africa, Rumion 7 seater MPV is being sold in South Africa since 2021. Compared to Ertiga, It comes with a different looking chrome grille which is inspired from the newly launched Innova Hycross. The Fog lamps have triangular covers with a chrome strip which surrounds the grille of the air intake.

The interior of the Toyota Rumion features Beige interior theme with Faux wooden inserts in the dashboard. The instrument cluster has been borrowed from the Ertiga.
Rumion is powered by the K15 C four cylinder Mild-Hybrid Petrol Engine which also powers the Ertiga. This engine produces 103 BHP and 137 NM of peak torque which is powered by a 5 Speed Manual and a 6 speed torque converter gearbox.
Apart from the Petrol Mild Hybrid Engine, Rumion will also be available in the CNG variant too for a more pocket friendly driving.
