TVS Motors filed a trademark application for ‘Apache RTX’ in March 2023, and now the OEM has received approval for the same. The ‘Apache RTX’ name is speculated to be used for the upcoming TVS Adventure bike in the mid-segment, where the two-wheeler maker currently has no offering.

TVS is preparing to enter the competitive adventure bike segment with the Apache RTX, and an official reveal of the plan may happen in the coming months. The Mid Adventure segment is currently dominated by bikes like Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM Adventure, Hero XPulse, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, BMW G 310 GS, and others.

Speculation is being made that TVS will modify the BMW G 310 GS to create an all-new bike with the name Apache RTX. The BMW G 310 GS runs on a 313 cc single-cylinder motor that produces 34 PS of max power at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm of max torque at 7500 rpm. The same engine can be used in the speculated Apache RTX with some minor changes in engine tuning. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch.

The TVS Apache RTX is expected to have dual-channel ABS, USD forks at the front, and a pre-load adjustable shock absorber at the rear. The bike may get a full-LED cluster with all kinds of essential information on display. Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth nowadays is a common feature, so we reckon that it will get all such features.
