The 2021 Audi S5 Sportback facelift has been launched in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 79.06 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new model comes with design changes, upgraded interior along with new features.
The 2021 Audi S5 Sportback directly rivals the Mercedes-AMG C43, BMW M340i and Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 AMG. In terms of styling, the new S5 Sportback facelift gets an updated front fascia featuring new front bumper, new single frame grille and new Matrix LED headlamps with LED DRls. Other design changes include new LED tail-lamps, revised rear bumper, new 19-inch alloy wheels and new rear diffuser. Sporty silver accents added around the front grille, fog lamp, window line, mirrors and on the rear diffuser.
The 2021 Audi S5 Sportback is available in 8 colour options – Metallic District Green, Metallic Navarra Blue, Metallic Tango Red, Daytona Grey with pearl effect, Quantum Grey, Ibis White and Turbo Blue.
Inside the cabin, the Audi S5 Sportback facelift retains the overall design layout. The big change is the new 10.1-inch touchscreen, which replaces the old rotary-controlled MMI display. It also gets a revised Audi 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrument console.
Standard features include Panoramic Glass sunroof, Matrix LED headlamps with dynamic turn signal, LED rear headlights with dynamic flashing light, Flat-Bottomed steering wheel, Audi drive select, 3-zone climate control, S Sports suspension and parking aid plus with rear view camera. The S5 Sportback also offers optional features such as comfort key with sensor controlled compartment release, head-up display, brake calipers in Red, Black styling package, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, Audi Park Assist, S Sports Suspension with Damper Control.
The 2021 Audi S5 Sportback is powered by a 3.0-litre turbi-petrol V6 engine that churns out a maximum power output of 354bhp and a peak torque of 500Nm. Power is transmitted to all-4 wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds.
