We informed you earlier that Kia will make a big announcement on April 27. The company will introduce the 2021 Seltos SUV with some additional features, which was missing in the existing model. Adding to it, Kia Motors will introduce the new Seltos Gravity edition in the country. The new model will also mark the debut of KIA’s new logo in India.
Kia Motors has now released a new teaser video with a caption “What’s Unique? An apple falling off a tree? Or the curiosity that inspired a great discovery?” The tweet has following hashtags – #MovementThatInspires, #StayInspired, #StayTuned, #NewKia. The teaser ended with a boy writing “g” on a notebook, which refers to the new Seltos Gravity Edition.
The Kia Seltos Gravity Edition is already on sale in the Korean market. The new model will be top-of-the-line variant, and will come with subtle design changes and upgraded interior. It comes with a bespoke, chromed front grille with 3-dimensional design elements. The SUV gets new dual-tone 18-inch machined alloy wheels, silver finish to the ORVMs, door garnish as well as the rear skid plate.
Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos Gravity Edition gets an exclusive grey colour scheme. It features high-end safety and security features such as forward collision prevention assistance system and rear passenger notification. It comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Other features include UVO connected car tech, digital instrument console, premium Bose sound system, automatic AC, a wireless phone charger and remote engine start. Adding to it, the SUV gets lane keep assist and high-beam assist functions.
The 2021 Kia Seltos will also receive panoramic sunroof, which is missing in the current variant. The Seltos Gravity Edition is expected to be offered with the existing engine lineup – a 113bhp, 1.5L petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbo-petrol. A six-speed manual gearbox is available as standard, while automatic options will be offered with all engine options.
