2024 Hyundai Creta Spied: A Fresh Look and More Power!

By Team Man And Motor - 19-11-2023 11:59 AM

The anticipation surrounding the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is reaching new heights as Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) gears up for the early 2024 launch. After dominating the midsize SUV segment for over eight years, the upcoming facelift promises a host of revisions both inside and out, signaling the first major update for the second-generation model introduced in early 2020.

Exterior Redesign

The spy images of the heavily camouflaged test mule suggest a thoroughly redesigned exterior. The front fascia boasts a revised grille section, updated front and rear bumpers, and distinctive new LED DRL signatures reminiscent of some recently launched larger Hyundai SUVs. The silhouette maintains its muscular stance, featuring a split headlamp cluster, high-mounted stop lamp, shark fin antenna, new LED tail lamps, tweaked tailgate, and fresh roof rails.

Interior Upgrades

The interior of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is set to receive notable revisions. Earlier spy shots reveal an all-black cabin theme, with added features such as a new seat upholstery, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and a 360-degree camera system. Features like panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated seats will be carry forwarded to the updated model. In addition, Level 2 ADAS technology and advanced in-car connected tech will be introduced.

Safety and Crashworthiness

The facelifted Hyundai Creta aims to enhance its crashworthiness, drawing inspiration from its sibling, the new-gen Verna, which recently received a five-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests. Safety is a priority, with the inclusion of six airbags as standard.

Performance Boost with Turbo Petrol Engine

Under the hood, the 2024 Hyundai Creta will feature a new 1.5L turbocharged GDI petrol engine, delivering a maximum power output of 160 PS and 253 Nm of peak torque. This powerful engine, also found in the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Alcazar, and Kia Carens, is expected to be paired with either a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The existing 1.5L four-cylinder NA petrol and the 1.5L four-cylinder turbo CRDI diesel engines from the previous model will be retained.

Expected Launch

The launch is anticipated by March 2024, with expectations of a price hike ranging from 60k to 70k, depending on the variants.

As the automotive industry eagerly awaits the debut of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, the comprehensive upgrades in design, technology, and performance suggest that the SUV is poised to continue its legacy as a leading player in the midsize SUV segment. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated launch!
