Jeep Compass now becomes more affordable with the option of automatic transmission in 2WD, Starts at Rs 23.99 Lakh

Jeep India has launched the the compass 2WD diesel with automatic transmission at Rs 23.99 Lakh. Jeep has also updated the compass with a new grille and alloy wheel design. Its been almost 2 years when Jeep had introduced the Compass first facelift back in 2021.

Engine & Transmission

Jeep compass continues to get the same 2.0 Litre Fiat sourced turbocharged diesel engine with a power output of 170 bhp and 350 nm of peak torque. However, Jeep has already discontinued the 1.4 Litre turbo petrol engine which used to came up with a DCT transmission. It has been rumored that the petrol engine can make a comeback near in the future.

Jeep Compass Diesel comes with a 9 speed torque converter gearbox which was earlier limited to 4x4 option. But now, this 9 speed automatic transmission is available in the 4x2 option too. It is a segment leading automatic transmission which provides effortless gearshifts and seamless power delivery. Jeep has decided to launch this gearbox in the 4x2 option because of the customer needs, who are willing to purchase this transmission in the 4x2 option. 

Variants & Pricings

Jeep offers the compass in five trims - Sport, Longitude, Longitude+, Limited and Model S. The Sport trim continues to be the entry-spec model and is offered only with the diesel-manual powertrain. With that, the manual variant gets price drop which now costs at Rs 20.49 Lakh. The 9 speed automatic transmission is available from the longitude trim which also have a option of 6 speed manual. 

The longitude+ updated trim now comes with panoramic sunroof and a wireless charger and all other features that are available in the longitude trim. Compass limited is now available with a new black shark edition which gets a all black interior, black alloy wheels and Ignite Red highlights around the SUV.

The top spec variant which is the Compass Model S is now also available with a 2WD Automatic transmission alongside the option of 4WD automatic variants.
