MG Astor Black Storm edition launched at Rs 14.48 Lakh

MG Motor has announced the new edition of Astor which is the Black Storm edition. It is black themed limited edition and is launched at Rs 14.48 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) 

MG Motor yesterday launched the Astor Black Storm edition in the Indian market. This black storm edition was earlier launched in the Premium Full Size SUV from MG Motor which is the Gloster. Through this edition the manufacturer is looking to boost the sales of the Astor which already has highly competetive rivals.

Changes in Exteriors

The Astor Black Storm edition offers an all black exterior which includes all-black honeycomb pattern grille, black alloy wheels with red front brake callipers, a black finish inside the headlamps, black themed roof rails, door garnish, fog lamp housing and skid plates along with a black storm badging on the fenders. 

Changes in Interiors

The black theme has been maintained in the interiors too. It included Tuxedo black upholstery with red stitching in the interiors, Sangria Red AC Vents, All-Black floor console, steering wheel and doors with red stitches. The Black Storm edition also comes with JBL audio system but they will be fitted through the MG Authorized dealerships.

Powertrain Specifications

The MG Astor Black Storm edition is available only with one engine option which is the 1.5 Litre VTi-Tech engine which produces 110 bhp and 144 nm of peak torque mated to 5 speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. MG Astor also comes with a 1.3 Litre Turbo Petrol engine option which is capable of producing 138 bhp and 220nm of peak torque but this engine has been skipped in this edition.

Price

The price range of MG Astor starts at Rs 14.48 Lakh Ex-Showroom for the manual variant and goes till Rs 15.77 Lakh Ex-Showroom for the CVT variant. The Black Storm edition is based on the smart variant.
