The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is set to be launched in November this year. It will be targeted at adventure enthusiasts. It will carry an upmarket appeal compared to the Himalayan 411.

Recently, official social media handles associated with Royal Enfield revealed the complete looks of the upcoming Adventure cum tourer bike from Royal Enfield, the Himalayan 452 or 450. The bike is seen in the Himalayan Region with huge mountains in the background, which justifies it as a true off-roader.

The upcoming Himalayan 452 appears to carry forward the pure adventure looks similar to the Himalayan 411 but in a more mature manner. It has a premium-looking side-mounted exhaust system. At the front, a set of new USD forks can be seen with wide protectors. A large fuel tank is seen that is surrounded with metallic braces, and under the tank is a large radiator that gives the bike a beefy look. The bike also looks wide enough, with an overall width of 852 mm, as revealed earlier in government documents. The seat height also seems apt for short riders, as it is not too high. Dimensionally, the bike will have a wheelbase of 1510 mm, and it appears to ride on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels.

Expected Features

The Himalayan 452 may have premium features when compared to the Himalayan 411. The leaked images reveal that it will have new USD forks, a new all-digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument cluster may also have an in-built navigation system. All LED lighting and LED headlamps, and a large transparent windscreen. A raised front fender with a mud guard lower down. It will be equipped with dual-channel ABS, probably switchable.

Himalayan 452 Engine

The performance factor of the Himalayan 452 is the most important aspect of the bike, as it will get an all-new engine. It will be a liquid-cooled 451.65-cc single-cylinder engine with a DOHC setup. The first DOHC engine from RE. It will produce a peak power of 40 hp, while the exact figures of torque are not yet known, but we expect it to produce something between 36 and 42 Nm. The new engine will be coupled with a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.

Pricing and Rivals

The Himalayan 452 will face tough competition from bikes like the BMW G310, KTM 390 Adventure X, Yezdi Adventure, and others. We expect that Royal Enfield will price it very aggressively in a range starting from Rs. 2.4 to 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
