Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV from the South Korean carmaker is ready to have its world premiere on 6th April 2021. Its prices are likely to be announced in the month of May. Select dealers have already started accepting bookings for Hyundai’s new three-row SUV.
The Alcazar is essentially the bigger and more feature-packed version of the Creta. It will be made available in both 6 and 7-seats layouts. Once launched, it will go up against the Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector Plus and the newly-launched Tata Safari. Its prices are estimated to start from Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
While the official details of the upcoming Hyundai SUV will be revealed next week, the latest report says that the SUV might be offered with the BS6-compliant 2.0L petrol engine. It’s the same unit that does duty in the updated Elantra and Tucson.
The motor pushes out a peak power of 152bhp and 192Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Alcazar might also come with a 1.4L turbo petrol engine borrowed from the Creta. The turbo unit promises a top power of 138bhp and 250Nm of torque. It’s likely to come with a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) automatic gearbox.
Recently, the 3D images of the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar have surfaced on the web. The three-row SUV shares most of its design elements with its younger sibling. A few cosmetic changes, however, have been made to the vehicle. The bigger SUV comes with a set of newly-designed alloy wheels, a flatter roof, differently designed C-column, tweaked rear bumper, wraparound C-shaped LED tailamps and extended rear overhang.
If reports are to be believed, the Alcazar could be packed with ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology. Features such as a 360 degree camera, BlueLink connected car technology and automatic AC unit might also be on offer.
